Acceptance of terms
By using this website or the admin portal behind it, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use them. If you are here on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to act for it.
GateKeypers is a product of Gate Keypers Inc., an Ontario corporation.
What this site is
The public pages describe what we build: a door for secure units in long-term care and memory care, and an admin portal where a care home reads what its own doors reported. They are information, not a service you sign up for. There is nothing to submit, nothing to buy and no account to create here.
The admin portal
The portal is for named staff of a customer, and we create those accounts on that customer's instruction. Your sign-in belongs to you alone: do not share it, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. What you can see and change follows the role on your account.
We may suspend or remove an account to protect the portal or its records, or when the customer asks us to. Use of the portal is also governed by the written agreement with that customer, and where that agreement and this page disagree, the agreement wins.
Your responsibilities
Give us accurate information, keep any credentials under your control safe, and follow the facility, safety, security and organizational policies that apply where you work. You are responsible for what is done with credentials under your control.
Intellectual property
GateKeypers and its licensors retain rights in the software, designs, branding, text, graphics and related materials on this site and in the portal. These terms transfer no ownership to you. Door records themselves belong to the care home that runs the doors.
No misuse
You must not attempt unauthorized access; probe, disrupt or bypass security; impersonate another person; introduce malicious code; scrape or overload the site or the portal; reverse engineer protected components; or use GateKeypers in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
If you find a security problem, tell us before you tell anyone else. The contact is in our security.txt.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, this site and the portal are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. Nothing here is legal, security, clinical or professional advice.
Limitation of liability
This section is a placeholder pending legal review. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gate Keypers Inc. and its representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue or opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use this site or the portal. Any final limitation and applicable cap should be confirmed by qualified counsel.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site, the portal or the applicable requirements change. The date at the top of the page identifies the current version. Continued use after a revision takes effect means you accept it, where the law permits.
