Vino Kandasamy

Founder & CEO

Brings fifteen years in healthcare to GateKeypers. Started as a pharmacy assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart and worked his way up to leading product for Medisystem, the pharmacy platform serving long-term care homes across Canada. His healthcare technology work has included Scarborough Health Network, LifeLabs and Loblaw, where he led the digitization of handwritten scripts across more than 2,400 pharmacies. Later became Director of Technology at a law firm. Returned to school for cybersecurity while working night shifts, where he met Manpreet and Karan. Raised by his grandmother in Scarborough, her experience with Alzheimer’s is the personal reason behind GateKeypers.

Manpreet Singh

Head of Platform and Security

Built and runs the technology side of GateKeypers, including the website, the software on every Gate, the web app homes use to read their record, the Android app, the cloud and network it all runs on, the system that keeps every Gate updated from one place, and the update pipeline for GateSense. He also runs our security operations, from threat detection to the audit trail behind every door record, and built the internal Agentic OS the team runs the company on. Met Vino in a cybersecurity class at Durham College, where their project GhostPass won Best in Class in Cybersecurity at the 2025 IT Student Expo. Came to Canada as a student and built GateKeypers after his shifts.

Karandev Chauhan

Head of Hardware

Builds the embedded hardware behind GateKeypers, from GhostPass to the first Gate built by hand. Competed in capture-the-flag competitions in India, attacking and defending systems to understand how they fail. Came to Canada as a student and met Vino in a cybersecurity classroom in Oshawa, where he built the classroom project’s hardware. His hardware powered the door demonstrated to investors on 7 August 2026, the same day he worked the last shift at his old job. GateKeypers’ first employee, he signs his emails “Director of Broken Code.” Clear about what does and doesn’t work, and focused on beautiful, functional devices for people’s homes.
